yeah i did sand it down to the metal used paint stripper in a spray can but be carefull take the TTops down it will damage them i learned the hard way! if it comes to rust holes i found more by the driver side door under the carpet had to cut it out and weld it up i fixed it first with fiber glass and bondo temporarily lasted two years till i grinded it all off and welded it solid its best to weld it up but if you got no monay at first bondo and fiberglass will hold few years cheers

the Vats module damaged from jump start got a bypas chip installed by the ecu on the bluw wire its the chip that generates a 30/60hz signall also my neutrall safety switch was toast also mise bite the wiring to Vats module

i did swap the console was easy just lots of wiring swapingin ssmall area also need to find the right radio part cover i got it all in a raally good condition

i know haha was to lazy to film it again one connector was lose haha

i agree, LEDs just doesn't have that comet effect like the halogens.

the Scanner was build in a day the working scanner in two days but it started as a Led till i got all the parts needed from Amazon about a month took another day to convert it to work with halogen bulbs leds r easy halogen is harder to do but this setup is working for any bulb leds or regular

I had to weld them all up as filler will fall of with time i cut 1x1 inch squers dented the holes more in so its flush with the body i also used old fenders as metal for the patches easy to do but will take a day Also dont weld longer than 1.5 sec each time take 2 sec brakes otherwise you will burn through the metall making holes in it haha let me know how it goes cheers!!!

Not to sure if i u derstand the part where the scanner sits on stays U do have to remove the mounting bracket holding the old bumper i simply.removed it also you may have to bend down a bit up to u

sry for late reply umm i alao drilled them out and bondo over it it only lasted about two years untill it started poping off now i sanded it down to metal and welded it right up than grinded it flash and bondo it smoth tip be aware of heat bulding up doring welding worping and banding the doors tough to fix but durable take your time and cool off the foors good luck brothaa!

Thanks man yeah its not a easy or cheap hobby for sure lots of potential problems to solve each build is unique with its own challenges for sure do it cuz you want it for yourself unless u start with a set budget of 30-50k u can speed up the build if not you r in for a ride but honesty an in it for about 3 years now and had my problems with it almost gave up many times but if you like me and many other fans u will get it done its amazing to experience the transformation from a basic firebird to KITT love it still!!! Its much cheaper to do the exterior agreed am already working on the interior almost finished the upper console that i did from scratch myself Center console swap done new rear.hatch

get the car thhe closer you get to the build 82/84 the cheaper its to build it the 89/92 models r more expensive to build but you get a better platform possibly less rust but you need to swap rear bumper spoiler tailights ground effect delete and interior center console and door panels swap it means simy a lor more $$$$ also try to get the min of 305 5.0 V8 engine not the crappy V6 cheers!!!

Where you from? Some people told me about it it may be the solution it’s really wierd what’s happening with Kitt even after resistors in place no difference I will try to dig to the vats computer and see if there is like a relay or fuse to it last chance heh thanks dude👍🏻😎
